SJ100 Configuration, Control and Monitoring

There are several choices when deciding how to configure, control, or monitor your Hitachi SJ100 drive:

• Built-in digital keypad - SJ100 Series
  The SJ100 series drives come standard with a built-in keypad. This keypad has a single line, 4-character LED display. The keypad can be used to program the drive’s parameters as well as to monitor specific drive functions.
  
  
• Remote display with stop button - OPE-J (SJ100 Series only)
  The OPE-J allows you to monitor your SJ100 drive from a remote location. The remote display also provides you with a STOP button to use in your application. All other keys are non-functional.
  
  
• Digital remote operator with serial communications - SC-OPE3I
  The SC-OPE3I Operator Interface is a 4-line, 20-character back-lit LCD display with advanced capabilities for the SJ100/ SJ300 Series drives. The SCOPE3I can be installed on the SJ300 drive in place of the standard factory keypad, or it can be mounted remotely for use with the SJ100 and SJ300 Series drives. The SC-OPE3I gives you memory upload and download capability with onboard EEPROM for memory storage. RS232-RS422/ RS485 connectivity is standard on this device. Use the cables and software listed below.
  
  SC-OPE3BK - Includes bezel for SC-OPE3I, 1-meter drive interface cable, and mounting hardware (for remote mounting)
  SC-OPE3CK - Includes configuration software, PC cable, and manual
  
  

SJ300 Configuration, Control and Monitoring

There are several choices when deciding how to configure, control, or monitor your Hitachi SJ300 drive:

• Digital keypad - OPE-SRE (SJ300 Series only)
  The OPE-SRE comes standard on every SJ300 Series drive. This keypad has a single line, 4-character LED display. The OPE-SRE can be used to program the drive’s parameters as well as monitor specific drive functions. The OPE-SRE can be mounted on the SJ300 drive or mounted remotely. Replacement keypads for the SJ300 are available and come with an extra filler plate.
  
  
• Digital remote operator with serial communications - SC-OPE3I
  The SC-OPE3I Operator Interface is a 4 line, 20-character back-lit LCD display with advanced capabilities for the SJ100/ SJ300 Series drives. Drive Manager Suite

The Hitachi Drive Manager Software Suite (DOP-PRO) is a collection of programming software that covers the full range of our Hitachi drives. The Drive Manager Suite is a combination of software applications designed to enable the remote programming and operation of the complete range of Hitachi's AC inverters and sensorless flux vector drives. The complete package includes the software on CD-ROM, an RS232/ RS422 converter, an RJ45 programming cable, an RJ45 to IDC10 converter, trend analysis, an instruction sheet and a printed manual. The software programs include the DOP-Professional, DOP Plus, the DOP-QuickStart and the SRW Emulator.

DOP Professional talks to you in English

DOP Professional is an offline programming tool that works with Windows® 95,98 and NT-based systems. The setup screens provide the user with the interactivity of the Windows environment, with standard command buttons, option buttons and combo boxes. A 32-bit application, DOP Professional gives you these features to program the SJ100 and SJ300 series AC drives:

• All parameters are text descriptive so there is no need to know the parameter codes of the drive.
• A comprehensive help file is included to explain every parameter in even more detail.
• Global program supports these Hitachi series: US (USA), EU (European) and JPN (Japanese).
• Built-in “Virtual Inverter” actually simulates how your setup will function in the real drive!
• Set-up Wizards for simple configuration of centrifugal loads and PID applications
• Save and Load functions transfer setup data to/ from disk.
• Complete data printout grouped for easy parameter search

QuickStart programs SJ100 drives with simple menu

The QuickStart program enables remote programming from your PC with a simple menu-driven Windows-based system. All you have to do is enter a few parameters into predefined boxes on the screen, then click on an icon to download the data to the drive. QuickStart is a 32-bit application for Windows 95, 98 and NT.
It’s this easy:

• Select speed and run options
• Use convenient slide bars to:
  • Set maximum frequency
  • Set acceleration and deceleration rates
  • Select appropriate internal speed parameters
• To transfer the program to the drive, simply click on “Download to the inverter”.
• Existing programs can also be extracted from the inverter for editing with the QuickStart program.
• All you need to use QuickStart is the communications adapter included with the Drive Manager Suite.

Programming Cable

The DOP-PRO-CBL is a programming cable for use with Hitachi brand drives. It is a port-powered, 6 foot long, RS232 to RS422 converter cable for use with DOP Professional software. This cable is sold with a quantity of one cable per pack.
